Sofia Garcia Garbuno
Sofia Garcia Garbuno joins the Wei LAB as a Research Associate. Sofia is currently pursuing a Master’s in Higher Education through the Education Leadership & Policy Analysis (ELPA) Department in the School of Education. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as two certificates in Chicano/Latine Studies and Gender & Women’s Studies. As a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, their research focused on the reproduction of inequity enforced through surveillance technologies on underrepresented students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
