Shawn Robinson, Senior Research Associate, was featured on WMTV for his incredible academic career thus far and his recent work with the Wei LAB earlier this January.
The three-minute video story, broadcast on NBC15 on January 8, recounted Robinson’s experiences through high school, where he was diagnosed with dyslexia by his mentor, Dr. Nash from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. the story also covered Robinson’s efforts as a member of the Wei LAB, including the publication and promotion for his book, “Doctor Dyslexia Dude!”
“My mission in life is to just help kids, parents give them hope,” Robinson said.
The book, published this past September, is a graphic novel about an African American boy with dyslexia, written by Shawn and Inshirah Robinson and illustrated by Brandon Hadnot.
